Interesting food traditions in Asian countries
As most of us know the continent of Asia varies in many different traditions and cultural habits that for some people of other cultures may seem strange. For example slurping while eating soup is a sign of appreciation for the host, if you don’t slurp the host might think that you are not enjoying the dish. An other unusual habit is the fact that in some parts of the continent people not only eat directly with their fingers but also they don’t use tables or chairs. Instead they gather around the food which is placed on the floor on some type of mat or other floor covering. Also if you leave your chopsticks stuck in the rice it can be considered rude of even some very superstitious people might think that you wish them death.
